Rain Rain go away!

Firstly i apologize for not posting in ages, there's been alot going on that i just don't find the time.
But I really want to get back into it as i really enjoy posting and sharing my views on fashion with you.
Today has been horribly weather, winter has sure kicked in. I felt really sick today so i stayed in doors all day.

I went on www. looklet.com and styled a few outfits, here's one.

I really like this modern military type look, its a cute twist on the nautical trend.
What do you think? Are you liking this trend or is it not really you?

It's OK to try new things and not like them. It's all part of finding your own unique style.

Rain Rain Go Away!

(Cropped Top/vest - Tattoo, Shirt(worn under cropped top) - Chicabooti, Jeans - Wakee, Boots - some store in Pit street Mall Sydney)

It was raining today, which i wasn't too happy about, the grass was muddy which required you to wear any form of boot. I really love my black buckle boots, which i might add are actually my sisters. I'm loving my brown cropped vest/top too! I'm hoping for sunny weather tomorrow!

Feeling blue

(Vest - DIY by me, Tank - Chica booti, shorts - Ally, Necklace - Present from cousin)
Well, I wore this yesterday, the weather was okay, there was no sun but it wasn't windy.
I'll admit I'm not one to wear leopard prints, I just don't really think they look that flattering on me. I decided to give it a go, and i actually liked it, kind of. This electric blue vest is pretty out there but I would say I'm definitely one to take risks with fashion. I really loved what the colour did to my outfit. I'm also happy to say that this vest was a frilly shirt that I found in my mum's wardrobe, I'm glad I rescued it because it turned out great! The day was pretty casual so I just threw on a pair of denim cut-off shorts.

Back to school this week, after six weeks off, I'm not that excited about getting back in routine.
But it's a whole new year, new teacher's, class mates and subjects, how exciting!
I'm not looking forward to the exams, but they'll come and go. It's Australia day tomorrow, I'll be heading down to the harbor with friends to celebrate, should be fun. I'll show you some pic's too.

DIY jewellery!

I'm sorry i haven't posted in a while but I went to my cousins house for a week and in between all the shopping there was hardly time for the computer. I also scored a new dress when i went shopping in QVB from SES for $15!! I was VERY happy! I cant wait to show you guys.

Recently I've been getting into making my own jewellery, here's some snaps of the ones I've made.
All i did was buy some elastic string from spotlight and some cool beads from the beadbox in town. I think it's really cool and unique to make your own jewellery, you can choose beads that reflect on your personality and style. Its a creative way to express yourself.

Style icon? I say yes!

Check out the gorgeous Emma Watson in the new S/S 2010 Burberry campaign! She has definitely turned into a style icon. I personally love the purple trench coat she wears in the first shot. I think its cute that they've decided to include her adorable brother Alex Watson who did i mention was adorable? He's definitely worth a look! (featured left in the first photo, in the third photo and in the fourth photo)
Check out the behind the scenes video where Christopher Bailey talks more about the campaign.

Shorty whats your nameeeee?!

(Blazer - Vintage, shorts- Ally, Singlet - Ally, Gladiator sandals - girl x press, Sunglasses - Voodoo Doll, Bag- Equip, Bangle - Diva, Ring - Gift from grandma)
I love Christmas/ new year holidays, being able to sleep in and more time to be creative with fashion but most of all the fact that it's summer at the same time! Here in Sydney, for the last few days it hasn't been quite summery, that's why i jumped for joy this morning when i looked out my window and saw my old friend, the sun, was back. If your anything like me, you love summer and summer fashion. But with that carefree feel of summer, personal style can be forgotten, with every girl in Australia in denim shorts and block coloured singlets. So when dressing for summer i try and take time to find unique pieces and really take time to be inspired and do it my way, because to me personal style is the best accessory.
I wore this today as i wanted to be casual chic and comfortable, the sun was shining so all i wanted was to be outside. I'm fairly new to blazer's, i used to thing of them as another form of jacket but with leather bomber jackets, vests in all sorts and cardigans, you can't blame me.
But boy was i WRONG! Blazer's are so versatile, stylish and chic, plus they keep you warm in the windy weather. I really liked this cropped one as it suited my petite figure. The girl x press sandals were a Christmas present from my mum and i adore them! They are a more dressy approach to the usual gladiator sandal. I couldn't really be bothered with my hair so i just pulled it back into a pony tail, easy peasy. For those in places where the sun is still in hibernation by putting a pair of tights or textured stocking's under a pair of shorts this look works for winter too.
So this summer, get inspired, and don't be the girl who loses her personal style because as the late Yves Saint Laurent said, "Fashion fades, style is eternal".
Rant over!

twenty ten :O

Firstly, HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Wow, can you believe that another year has already gone?!
This year has been full of exciting adventures, which im sure i wont forget,
When im old and grey, I'll sit their and reminisce about 2-0-0-9.
Oh how i'll miss it!
Then again, new year means new adventures, new stories to tell and new resolutions.
Okay, I'll admit i didn't really try at all with resolutions this year, I just kind of forgot, oops!
But in twenty ten, i promise i will, or atleast try.

So here goes,

1. Actually learn to play the guitar sitting in the corner of my room.
2. Take sewing lessons with my friend, Souli.
3. Try to think of the positive in a situation rather then the negative.
4. Stop procasinating

So what are you new year resolutions for 2010?
